Nice shot of the 147 Daniel!

It takes a tall tractor to cast a long shadow.....great photo of that snow beast!

Ouch!!! Your eyes alright? That's always been one of my concerns with those lines running out like that on the side. Glad you got it replaced and are back in action.

I think the plow tractor does better on snow covered blacktop and the ags work better in the snow on my lawn. Hard to tell because the blade needs much more traction than the thrower anyway. The 2 links definitely give a much more comfortable ride though.
Thanks Steve. I wondered which of those worked best. All of my chains are 4 link. It seems reasonable that the 2 link would give a smoother ride since there is more surface area of the chain making contact at any given moment, but the 4 link might get a better grip on take off...

Looks like your 1450 made small work of it. Great looking snow clearing cub!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
