Sounds like u r getting somewhere. Good!
I knew the topic of carbs would come up. I do hear what John is saying a lot. I have the different luck.....and I'm sure I'm not the norm. All my supers (3) have the fixed jet walbro....and I have had great success with them for The past 8 yrs or so. My 1811 had an adjustable and no matter what I did.... couldn't get it to run good in the cooler weather..idk. one time on the walbro I did have a seat that got a pit....and would not stop running fuel down it's intake....can u say crankcase full!! I honed the seat and all has been good for few years now. Glad your Making some progress.

I did buy a used carb and it filled the crankcase so I had it rebuilt by local shop still filled the crankcase. The guy told me really can't do much more. Anybody know where I could send it where some one knows what they are doing. I have the original plus the used I bought and both have two screws. Dag or John maybe you want to give it a try.

I've only been in a couple, so no expert here. For some reason, there are a lot of new China carbs for sale (at least for M18's--maybe same for M20??). Obviously a lot of folks are having trouble rebuilding them or just having trouble in general with the carbs. I don't know if one is still available from Kohler--sure it would be pricey. But considering how nice your fleet is, maybe its worth it?

Charles....I'm game. It's not hard and I'm right around the corner from you. I'm in Chalfont so u could bring what u have and we could do it in an hour. I'm not and expert but have done my share with good luck. The hard part is getting the needle to seat if the seat is deformed. I don't believe the seats r replaceable in those. That's why I had to hone my old fixed jet. I did not want to give up on that carb because it started and ran very very good. I will send u a pm.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
