Unless I missed it in the thread, no one answered your original question, "What do you think is a fair price for the tractor?"

Hard to say what fair would be. Region of the country comes into play. In the KCMO area, that Cub with those accessories might fetch an askin' price of $500-$700. But there are a lot of variables. Your experience may differ.

Whatever you paid for it, I sure it seemed fair to you. Congrats! Nice Cub.

Looks good to me! The 73 air cleaner probably works better if you are going to mow and do work with it. Put the oil one on for show
I'm not going to give you a price since you already own it.

Methinks yo got da fevah. Prolly won't be long before 64SS is spending some time OUTSIDE the garage because of needed room for more Cubs and accessories.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
