From,
Scott S | Sr.Product Specialist | Curtis Industries LLC 1. Yes that is an old Curtis cab, no parts available for it, sorry 2. Curtis was never in or produced product in Springfield Ma. 3. It was Curtis cab before they changed the name Seems to be a little animosity towards North East Cab, as no one there really wanted to discuss them, LOL He did hint to the fact that it might have been a copy cat type of deal and they got caught midstream. |

Thanks Charlie:
I guess the Senior Product Specialist would know where they have been located more so than anyone else. There is an interesting twist to the Northeast Cab Co, being both them and Curtis were (or are) located in Worcester MA.

Finsrsukw:
Sorry, these ole eyes can't read anything on that tag. But with a magnifying glass, it "looks" like the same address as Northeast Cab.

No worries. LOL I had to get the ole Magnifying Glass out.
I done a bunch of internet searching, out of curiosity, and I could not find anything on this Northeast Cab Co. I am guessing it was a short lived company and my educated guess it died in the Mid 1960's. I am further guessing that, (A) that Curtis bought this company up, or (B) had them shut down perhaps for copyright issues. Interesting none the less. I went to the Wisconsin Historical Society which has a massive IH library and I could find no mention of Northeast. So, the mystery continues in the annals of time.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
