That control valve will really stand out on your 782! But that shade of green is way out-of-bounds....

Ya. Its not nearly as dark in the sunlight, as it looks in the pic. A lime green in the sun.

Some more puttering today, managed to get a few pieces bolted together. The hard part is finding all the misc pieces. Some I had bagged, but some, at least at the time, seemed like would be obvious. But after a few months there isnt much left in the memory banks so just figure it out as I go along.

Its going the right direction at least (as in, things going together not taking apart.

obligatory xx characters here....

Actually a question: Is there a way to get the hydro linkage adjusted 'approximately' with it just sitting? I made sure the brake pedal pulled it back to neutral, but it doesnt seem like it goes too far in reverse. On the other hand, no idea how much is really needed.

Wow yeeter! This is gorgeous! I hope one day to get my 1450 torn down and prettied up, don't know if i have this kind of patience though. Right now I'm in the 'just fix the broken stuff' phase of my first(?) Cub. What is that black / silver color you're using? I like the mottled / textured look of it...

Great job!

Its powder coat. Basically I am playing with various powder coat paints. May or may not hold up, and nothing particularly creative in terms of customization. But I am having fun with it.

Patience. lol. Nothing about this project is going to be quick.

Its kinda like dog years, except I measure in Sam Mac years. Sam will complete 7 tractors for every one I do (that is, if I hurry up else it might be closer to 10 or 12)

Just having some fun playing in the shop

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
