I really appreciate the kind and positive words, and for the good of the group. I seem to have been needled, and lost a little enthusiasm on what, where, and why I enjoy doing. And not to mention being layed off for the first time ever in my working career. Plus I'm bogged down is studies, which is a good thing I suppose.
Thanks, I'll carry on when I can

Got the front wheels assembled today! Installed the Vredestein V-60 tri-rib, with tubes! The tires are 400x8, and the front rims have been restored. The made in U.S.A. in and outer bearings still go strong. The color is Cub Cadet 759-3259 White { not the bleach-white }, and should look great matched up against the Cub Cadet 759-3258 Yellow.
The first rim I was using pry bars with the corners rounded over. After I had chipped this rim three times, that was three times and you're out! I manually forced the tire on with my hands an knee. The next rim went on with out any paint damage! You may see one chip on the right side of the first wheel in the first picture. Repair was simple as using a brush to fill in the chip! Well, that's a mile stone for me, so I thought I'd resurface the restoration, and periscope up some pictures! ![]() ![]() ![]() I did clean up after all was together, and tested for any air leaks. So far, everything is good in this department! I will install the Carlisle Tru Powers 6-12 ag on the rear rims before I finish paint them. Feels good to get something done around here! ![]() periscope down,...............

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
