Trailer looks great Dwayne, question, how long and wide is the Cub hauler?
Reason I ask is I have a snowmobile trailer (worthington 102inch wide X10 foot) and yours doesn't look much longer than mine? Yes mine tilts and won't stay up either so I have been throwing around the idea of getting a longer hauler just to haul more than 2 Cubs at a time! ![]()

I wouldn't be worried about the length and weight. I would how much weight it can haul. There should be a tag on the trailer somewhere.

Thanks Allen, it was nice to be able to get out and use it some today. We actually had some short sleeve weather for most of the day.

A things to consider.... Total weight includes the weight of the trailer. Any trailer in the state of Ohio with a 2000 pound weight limit requires brakes on the trailer. A Cub Cadet 71 weighs 550 pounds with no weight or attachments. Most of the trailers posted in this topic are lucky to handle 2 Cubs. Each tractor should have 4 seperate tie downs. Wraping a strap around the dash tower is poor set up. Connecting a strap to a 3 point hitch is a poor set up too. |

I thought about the 3 point strap issue when I got back home this afternoon and agree.

to add to the ohio law. you must use 4 rigging points and each strap must be able to hold the weight load. also DOT can pull you over now and check your load and scale you if they want.
your bumper pull hitch on the van is how much? 500 lbs? you dont want to be axel heavy (thats a fine) you may not be over weight but you can be axel heavy. looks like you have 2 1000 lb axels , check the load of the tiers ( DOT will ) so you can haul 2000 lbs that includes the weight of the trailer. so if the trailer is 500 lbs , you can haul 1500 lbs. and still need to find the sweet spot on the trailer so your not axel heavy.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
