Paul,
I picked up a new hydraulic handle from my dealer last year for my 1782. Haven't gotten it on yet. Still in the package. I'll have to look and see what part number they have on it and post it here.

Paul

I'm sure one of the sponsors would have the handle. Here are a couple pics. My guess is you need numbers 1,2,3+4

Sam, that picture is just what I needed, thank you. Unless that nut and bolt is something special, the local hardware store has stainless examples for a tenth of the price.

Ummm...still using the 82 series hood and grill. The goal is to retain the tilt feature of the Cyclops dash.

Here's a picture of what I plan to replicate...trim the plastic from a cyclops dash and combine it with the top piece of plastic from an 82 series. Understand?

Does your replacement handle still have directions printed on the face?

Nope. There's an outlined area where the decal goes, but no decal like the pic Sam posted. The PO of my 1782 had replaced the original handle with a bent piece of steel. I, too am eventually putting it back to stock. I never asked if you could still get the sticker. Bet someone's remaking them or could. Might even come in a decal set. Dunno.

Check with the sponsors, maybe Rich Patton or one of the others could ship a good used one to you, it's not a heavy item.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
