Default tins are on engine

Wow, finally got the engine put together, all but the carb and starter pulley anyway.
It's coming together now, I've got the drive back some now
Sorry it's not more exciting, but it sure feels good to be this far, I'm not as fast as I used to be

Thanks John, it is the best I can do. And it's what I can do with what I have, everything done in house except for the valves. And I know many think the rattle can paint is junk, and I'm sure it's not near as good as auto types, but it's what I can do, and it will look good to me.
Yah, things came along way from my first time on the website. Met some very intelligent people on here that helped me out allot over time, and having fun along the way.
Thanks to everyone for the inspiration, and drive to do something like this. No cub time today, have to actually work

Todd,
Engine looks super, Very clean, fresh restoration work. You don't have to say a lot, the pictures do the talking! Hope things are good with you!
I do agree that the rattle can paint leaves something to be desired. But it worked as I did the parts a little at a time. Like you I also plan to work my Cub equipment at some point and it will eventually get nicks and dings.
You had to work, but I had Friday off and cut wood and played with cub stuff all day. It was great! Will try to get some pictures posted tonight. Only have three Cub projects going at one time.Nothing big just monkeying around. I think I have a problem
Your 100 restoration is going to be real nice! Are you planning to show it at any Tractor show events?
Regards,
Chris

Thanks Chris, yup, rattle cans will never get the shine or durability of auto paint, but it'll do for me just fine, it sure beat what was there when I started
You have a problem? What's that?
We don't have tractor shows around here that I know of. Would be great to get something going some time though.

Could someone tell me the distance that the starter pulley goes on? Or am I supposed to aligne it after the SG is on?
Thanks

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
