Be careful using electrolysis on hardware!!
Higher grade hardware is susceptible to hydrogen embrittlement. The "bubbles" you see are hydrogen. Explosive also. It will definitely ruin head bolts. This type hardware is "plated" using a mechanical tumbling process so as to not ruin the hardware. Also the threads will be reduced in size.

I did a crescent wrench once and it made it all goofy. I think it took some plating or something off.

Thanks for the advice on the fasteners. I strung some on a piece of copper wire for some reason it did not do any thing maybe poor contact. Is copper bad to put in the tank? I think I read that some where? The land slide was in the tank about 26 hours, it is now primed, painted, and hanging in the basement to dry, its warmer down here. I did get the '06 sighted in for opening of bear in PA tomorrow. I will be heading for Centerville in the morning. May get the 147 out for a few laps in the drive.Have been working on maple syrup and honey projects all weekend. Took a trip to Mentor to visit my aunt yesterday. Regards, Chris

gas leak:(
Minor set back.
Gas leak at the fitting on the bottom of the tank I think. Hope its not that actual tank? In the process of taking off the sediment bowl assembly I dropped the glass sediment bowl and "TING" it was in about 4 pieces. Just not my night. I will stop at the dealers and see If I can get some parts to rebuild the sediment bowl. Need the gaskets or seal around the shut off valve too. Maybe there is a kit. Made some progress on the Brinley moldboard plow restoration. Have several components cleaned, primed and painted. Hope to get some pictures this week as it starts to come back together. I think I have a little paint bubbling on the bracket for the coil. If that is the extent I can live with that. I hind site I need to pay a little more attention to details. I went to my favorite hardware and got a 1/8 npt close nipple and a roll of Teflon tape. Stopped at the local Cub dealer and picked up a new sediment bowl and a new brass shut off valve kit. Will try to get those installed tonight. This Cub just does not want to give up  Still working on the plow. I was having a little trouble with the engine not idling down as much as it should? I have reset the governor twice. Any ideas? Regards, Chris

Did you use a tach to set it?? I use a vibration tach, by ear I want to set it too slow. The Kohlers do sound good idling real slow. Lots of times they act flaky if they are running just a little too slow. IMHO
