Default Hood

Does the cab cover the hood so that you can't open it or how does that work in this case? Is it easy to check the oil and fill the first gas tank?

I think a cab would be super cool to have for the winter. For me it'll just be a big thick set of coveralls (at least for my first year with mine).

finally got some windows in. sides and rear are 6 mil vinyl sheeting and the windshield is 1/4" lexan in a hinged frame. used saw horse leg locks to hold windshield open, and used cabinet magnets to hold it closed.

Looks A*W*E*S*O*M*E IHCC127!!! Thanks for sharing your pictures and your steps/materials along the way. Here's to American Ingenuity. I've seen cab heaters for sale for around $50......do you plan on installing one of those to your unit?

Looks good...I need to build one sooner or later. You're probably going to want a windshield wiper for the front if you use a snowthrower. That's going to get covered if it is windy at all. Rain-x might also help, although I'm not sure if that stuff is compatible with lexan.

ya i plan on making a wiper for it before winter. and as for a heater im not sure yet. if i have one it better work good or i'll just have a bunch of ice buildup all over the cab. and my charging system might not handle it with all the lights going too.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
