One issue at a time...
(A) Is the Solenoid wired correctly...??
(B) Did you perform the test as I outlined...??

With the key in the OFF position as well as in the RUN position I got the click from the solenoid. Ran out of hands so I did not try START position (should I?)

Check and do the things I previously asked. FORGET the Key switch for now.

As to the wiring diagram _ There is no blue wire (that aside, the wiring looks like the diagram provided) and the fuse wire is connected to the same post as the cable from the battery. (does it matter which post on the solenoid is 'in from battery' and 'out to starter'?

The jumper test provide the same clicking as when I attempt to start the tractor.

The Solenoid "Has To Be" grounded. There needs to be a good ground connection between the Solenoid case (or housing) to the Battery negative terminal.

AS A TEST.....run a jumper wire from the negative ( - ) battery terminal and touch the solenoid (metal part) case. Tell us what happens..!!

(B) I am just asking....Do you have a VOM or DVM and know how to use it..??

Neither the starter nor the solenoid are genuine Cub.
I do have a volt meter - but am not fluent.
