In Rhode Island anybody can take hazardous waste, like used anti-freeze, Hy-Tran, oil paint, pesticides, etc. to the state dump where they sort it all out and properly dispose of it at no charge. You might ask your towns public works guys who takes their used liquids.

Thanks for all the input guys. I did find a few places that take hydraulic/motor oil, as well as antifreeze. My local landfill (WM High Acres) is lass than a mile from my house, and run by Waste Management...they are very picky about bringing any type of used oil to there facility. My mother in law works there in the scale house. My county is lacking when it comes to hazardous waste recycling, but a neighboring county has provisions to accept most hazardous materials at various drop off locations. I tried to bring some old household chemicals to one once when we first moved into our house, and they demanded proof of residence from their county...ugh
![]() I found a custom "hot rod" shop a few miles away thats happy to burn it in their waste oil burner though, and he has a several hundred gallon tank outside his shop. He told me to stop by anytime and dump whatever I had in it. In my search I also found a place that takes used tires free...they shred them up to make material for playgrounds and such. Thanks all!! Jeff (teet)

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
