Well if the shaft is hardened, it prolly can be cut with a carbide mill but the internal slot in the cv bore, is usually achieved with a HSS broach so it might be a problem.

Wire EDM. Not a problem being hard.
Better make sure you can't repair it another way. Not cheap machine time.

That is why I use minuteman broach set, the EDM stayed @ the shop when I gave up after 40 years Ha,LOL!
