My take on old iron of any sort, paint can be removed. Stuff that gets cut chopped, torched, sawn, drilled, bent--well all that is hard to put back original. Since you aren't "disrespecting" the brand or the machine by ruining it, then no big deal. Talk about destroying stuff, ever seen what the lawn and garden pullers do? As long as you aren't working on a super rare machine, have at it I say.

I also like the blue flames with the black paint. First time airbrushing, huh? I think you did good. Are you putting an exhaust stack on? I've always liked the look of the exhaust thru the grill.

Look so mean, since he already got a hydraulic skull lever and airbrush skull artwork I think I stick a Punisher skull emblem in that grill

Thank you for the positive feedback. I will get that vent cleaned off, I don't want to have problems. Yes I have a smoke stack coming out the side I just don't have a pic of it, my first muffler was a piece of crap and fell apart.
I'm still doing a lot to get her running right, I just received my used steering column yesterday. the original was really bad, you can see the worm gear is really banged up and the bottom plug and races were oval instead of round. I also got some used front wheels because the previous owner abused the original wheels to the point the bearings wont stay in the wheels. |

Did you do the axle squeeze and add new tie greaseable tie rod ends while you were at it?

Even though I'm more so a purist, I have to say I like the flames! Those flames might rock even a factory colored Quiet line,...like multi-colored flames!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
