Nice! I like that you can use the rear PTO as is and don't need a reverser.

I bought the rig from a young man (17 yrs old) who is into older tractors. He bought it from the original owner a year ago. He thought the owner of the tractor had someone build the trailer for him. I'm guessing the trailer is at least 20 years old by the looks of the condition of the hydraulic lines (frayed outer fabric layer).
The hydraulic pump looks like it has two input shafts, when you rotate one clockwise, the other turns counter-clockwise. So I believe it would work with either input. He claimed it will dump a full load of gravel or sand. This young man was trying to raise money to go to welding school, and is working on his Eagle Scout project, trying to finish it before he turns 18 this summer. Let's just say I paid dearly for the set up, and made a donation to his Eagle project. Yes, there is some sort of a patch or reinforcement at the base of the dash tower on both sides. The starter has been replaced. The clutch is inoperable, so that's the first order of business. The (external disk) brakes need adjusting. I have an orange backhoe/loader, and am planning a large landscaping project this spring, with about 100 feet of 3 foot high retaining wall and about 600 square feet of pavers. I am thinking I'll put my wife on this tractor and cart and use it to haul excess soil and debris/stumps away as I excavate with the Kubota. We'll see how that works out. Maybe I've been watching too many episodes of "Gold Rush."

I don't know how old the dump cart is Frank, but I can tell you that the pump is off of a hydraulic hoist off an older dump truck. Yes, it does have dual input shafts. This was so that the pump could be hooked to a PTO off the trans of the truck. Depending on which side of the trans the pump was mounted, and the make of the trans, the PTO may turn either direction. The PTO's that ran off truck transmissions didn't turn very fast, so that made it an excellent choice for that 540 RPM rear PTO. It would make PLENTY of pressure to dump that small cart, as it would have been capable of dumping a 20' bed loaded with grain!

Thank you, Jonathan, I wondered about the pump. It looked "vintage" to me. There is a hydraulic fluid reservoir mounted under the bed (looks like maybe a gallon or so) and pretty good size cylinder. I'll take some more pictures when I get it hooked up again. I've pulled the tractor into the shop for repairs at this point.
