Like Sam said, make sure to resurface the head. I know you want have any problems with that. After all you've done, that's a simple fix. Again, beautiful job.

Thank you gentlemen, yes "old" guys do rule, had an incident today were that saying came into play. A older friend of mine (way older) dropped an old push mower off and talked for an hour. This may sound awkward but I have more friends that are were born 50-60 years before me. I find older fellas like having a good old conversation. While kids my age can't talk without a phone in front of their face.
Oh well, not to hate on anybody, just disappointed how the world operates nowadays... anyways thanks for the recommendation. Doing that right now. I'll try to get more pictures tomorrow.
Have a good rest of your night/day guys,
Noah

Super good job Noah.
I've got so many compliments to give you, but don't need to give you a big head on your shoulders... But somehow you don't seem like the kind that would let that go to your head.
Well of course we want more pictures, and details, details... It was a pleasure helping out where I could. We're always here if you need something...
You mentioned how you enjoy hanging around guys that are much older than you, I was the same way as a youngster. Seemed they "knew everything" compared to those my own age. And they do when your young, and hopefully someday when your in the fall of life, someone in the spring of life will be asking you the questions for help, and you'll be the one that "knew everything".
Good job young man. The hobby is in good hands with up and comers as youself.

About 60 years ago I built a garden tractor from spare junk 'parts' lying around on the farm. Nothing like the beautiful tractor you have. Great job and I admire your attitude, keep up the good work.

Lookin' good buddy. Nice job.

Don't try to grow up too fast. I know it's an old cliche.....I'd love to go back to no bills, no worries, etc.

Very nice work! I started restoring farm tractors in my teens. I pestered every old farmer and mechanic I knew of for leads on where to find those machines. Then I enlisted my dad to help restore them, he put in about 1/2 the labor, I supplied all the cash. I made friends with a antique engine collector, he was old enough to be my grandfather. He introduced me to others in the hobby. I tried to learn as much as I could from all those guys. One lesson I had to learn myself was as a kid with no shop or tools of my own, no real skills, and limited cash, well I did the best I could with what I had to work with. I figured out real quick that there was no way I could compete head to head with 50 year old guys with 30 years experience turning wrenches, painting, etc. and the ability to throw $1,000 at a $500 project. I had fun and proudly displayed my stuff along side some really nice restorations. Most of those guys will treat you with respect when they understand you are serious about the hobby and giving great effort to your projects.

So, got another rusty hulk sitting around that needs some TLC?

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
