23X10.50X12's should have an 8.5" wheel.
23X8.50X12's should have a 7" wheel. http://www.onlycubcadets.net/forum/showthread.php?t=477 Deestones do have a tendency to be small, it wouldn't surprise me a bit to find out that they are 2" short.

My only experience with ag tires are the Deestones. I bought them more for looks than anything else. That's when I bought the tri-ribs for the front. Now I want a more aggressive, less rounded lug for plowing. (moldboard) I can only hope the Carlisles are closer to 23".

With a radial tire, you can deflate and gain traction. Not so much with a bias ply. You just end up wearing the sidewalls out. Tried it on a set of Carlisle Lugs. 20psi is about right.

I been running running around with 6 psi in my other tractors tires, 20 was just so darn bouncy... But the cub weighs twice as much! I aired em up to 20 to set the bead anyways

All of my 10.50 tires are on 8.5 inch rims. Here is a pair of tru powers (10.50-23-12's) on 8.5 inch rims. Tread is pretty flat. I think they are at about 12psi which I think is correct.

I may not have 20 in them, I may have 15.... can't remember right now TBH..... but I also should throw in a disclaimer. Some of my tires are loaded, and I run wheel weights when needed. If it's bouncy, I slow down.

Sometimes I have to drive on pavement full speed... It gets bouncy lol. I'm gonna try em at full fill 20 psi and adjust from there. Depending on traction I may get wheel weights. Want to see how she does with out first...

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
