Looks great. Then you are going to get the differential all pretty and when you put it back its going exaggerate how dull the other parts are. And so and and so forth.

May as well just suck it up and so the whole tractor....

Yep, that's how it begins. Looks like you're in for an entire restoration!

Default thanks guys

Well, fellers, if you read the prior posts, that's where it all started. Doing a PM, checking the axle bolts, 3 down one to go, snap, or Oh snap. Broke one off. So now I am here. This was my fathers tractor years ago, and he had given it a very nice rattle can job, so hate to do it over. But it could use it. My Daughter gave a 2 sets of decals, 1 Set for my 125, the other for the 1650.
I have 4 cubs that are battling for the first attention. This one the 1650 is a good solid running tractor, I 've gotten most of the rattle out of it. New mounts, cradle mod, new drive line nice 50a deck. The 1450 dual stick and 125 are both great mechanically. I have already repainted the 125 deck. That turned out pretty nice.
Then I got the red one that had given up the ghost before I bought it. Came with a nice 50C, and a 54" power angle blade, that now resides on the front of the 1450 for winter. I got that one mainly for the blade, but, I have a 18hp vanguard to put in it.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
