I used to back mine on because I had a high wall trailer and I used the rear tires as a stop against the front wall of the trailer, otherwise the gill housing would be up agains the trailer and damage the tractor.

Now I don't have to....

And yes tongue weight is a consideration, the rear of my 982 has got to be 4 times heavier than the front.

Not to hijack this thread, but Murphycc, can I find out more info on your box blade. I am wanting a similar setup and need to know what brands, weights and widths work best on an 882 sized Cub.
