Chebbie quit using them in '57 and IIRR they are bigger diameter, and stiffer. Try these, posta be soft and supple from what I hear. Epay# 250639764475. worth a try @ $20 shipped. Gas smell: the needle is prolly weeping, those big bore vibrators tend to beat the needle point up, prolly a needle/seat will be suffice, along with cleaning the carb. ![]() |

Hey Brian, How's the gas tank on that thing? I bought 3 Quietlines and 2 had leaking tanks. Leaked real slow, couldn't find it at first but always smelled like gas. One leaked along the seam and had a failed fixed by the PO with what looked like Seals All and the other leaked from where the strap had cut into the tank. I added strips of EPDM rubber as cushions under the straps of the good tank and am still trying to formulate a plan to fix the other 2.

David the tank looks good at first look, gas drips straight outta the carb like my 129 when I first got it. I'll add some rubber once I pull it to check some electrical stuff. Cant get my hands in there to check for power.
George I was also considering those, I have read good things about them, might go solid from Jeff also. Still didn't get to the head tonight. |

Wonder if red kote or epoxy would fix a leaky plastic tank . Anyhoo good luck on rebuilding the carb. Their not that hard to do.

Hello 64fleetside or anyone who knows. I have a 1650 that I am going to add dual hydraulics to. I have a dual output valve and will be replacing the single output valve with the dual valve.
I'm trying to duplicate the dual 1650 hydraulic control handles. I have studied the parts diagrams of the single and the dual hydraulic setups. The current handle I have is the same handle that is used in the dual hydraulics for one of the two outputs. The attached photo is of how my handle goes into the Pedestal Assy. It looks like it has a bushing around it. My question is with the dual handle does the sleeve of the 2nd handle take up the space where my bushing is now? Any photos would be greatly appreciated.

None of the head bolts were 1/4 turn past finger tight. Gasket showed leakage nearly halfway around. Bad connection fixed got lights and PTO working, hour meter still dead. Iso mounts look and feel tight, just bolts missing from cradle to engine.

Took the aluminum muffler box bracket to get TIG'ed up, any alternative ideas for a muffler that is not a stack nor costs a C-note plus? May try to build one even, I thinking a modified 12x muffler, they cost $30.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
