This one is going to be cool from the looks of it. I have the same spring but I had Mid West set it up at a lower compressed length so it's no harder to push the clutch down than a stocker. You can just back the lock collar off a little if you find it's to much. We went with a 5" compressed length.

I like what you're doing.
Key to "tipping" issue, is "rear" width, height and rear weight. What is the green front axles from? I also like the flat top fenders. Really looking forward to the finished project.

the green front axle is a rear axle tube off a john deere, nit my idea. I believe sam mac posted a link to it earlier in this thread. I didn't get much done today. between work, the wife, and two kids the shack time has been slow. I did get the rear tires on the rims and some parts fitted up for measurements.

I didn't post a link for the axle tube you used. I do recall seeing someone else that used a setup like that. Maybe Zippy or 4speed?

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
