Nothing like helping out a fellow cubber or asking for help, wow.......

Hey Todd,
If I were down that way, I'd pick it up for ya if I didn't have anything going on. Unfortunately, I'm in Iowa and its a little farther than 2 hours away. So if you want it, go get it.

Looks like a great deal. Hope you are able to figure something out and snag her............

Is that a CCC built?
YUP...it sure is. CCC expanded on the IH 782 and 982 tractors. They expanded to 784, and 984 & 986 respectively by adding factory installed features and or options.

I live about 110 miles north of where that tractor is, Todd lives south of it. If I were to pick it up it would just add a considerable distance and cost for Todd . Doesn't make sense to me.

It is what it is. Both posts say two different things. The second posts kinda makes sense. But I assume Todd knew the distance thing and was figuring he couldn't pick it up now, maybe later at your house or Cub Express it. Heck, he may even have been joking. I guess the first post just wasn't sugar coated. Now I understand that we all have lives and can't stop at the drop of a hat, but........... Anywho, I was kinda ribbin' ya and joking, but I guess you weren't.

Todd and I talked this AM. He has someone closer that can pick it up. Just a FYI Todd only has 3 other 982's some with 3 points and rear PTO's. I told Todd if it was seriously important I'd do it for him. Todd and I have done deals before so I think you can relax. I wouldn't hang him out to dry.

Not a real big deal. Like I said before, it was a joke hence these two little guys:

I usually use OCC to help me relax.
So off to find my Ativan or Xanax to help me relax now..........

Back on topic, Todd, are ya gonna swing something to snag the 982?

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
