OK 18 to 22 hp gas. Cheap way out look for a Cub 2185 for an organ donor. The have the CH18 for power. You'll need the muffler for an 1863, 1864, 2084 or 2284 and a drive shaft for a 2082 or a 2284

And the fun continues. So we got the Kohler V twin 18hp in the 982. Now everything is hooked up and working, but an oil dripping has started behind the electric clutch. I cant tell where its coming from. Would it be a seal around the camshaft? Here is a pic. It is hitting something thats causing it to splatter the front tires and around the side shields. The pic is of the front electric PTO. you can see inside of it where its wet with oil and its dripping down the electric clutch wire.

I agree with Jonathan. The only source of oil at the PTO has to be the front oil seal. At least it is kinda easy and cheap to fix.
