That was a steal! That NF hydraulic lift is worth what you paid for the whole tractor, Gas money included! Nice score!

Heck of a deal! Great score & looks to be in mighty fine shape.

Yes, the deals are out there. Few & far between- but out there. I just love these stories.

All the ones I have, were found just driving down the road.

The ones I found on Craig's list just seem to be snatched up in a day or hours.

NIK,

Speaking of getting pulled over....................I bought my other 127 off e-bad in early winter 2003. It was in West Virginia so I go get it in an original Plymouth minivan. Got there just before dark and loaded it inside. 42" deck was scraping the sides but did not have to take anything off.
Had to turn the fuel petcock off as the carb was dripping gas.
Went and spent the night in a Motel Six.
On the way home on the interstate in Virginia, got pulled over by a state trooper for speeding.
Officer looks inside behind me twice, shakes his head and says he never seen that done before.
Then he goes on to tell me that he grew up mowing lawns on a CC just like that.
So while he is running my info in the squad, I am thinking woo hoo ! he is gonna see my clean record and give me a warning for sure!.
Nope, the SOB gives me a ticket anyways.
probably because his Daddy made him mow the lawn every Saturday before he could go goof off with his friends, LOL.

Yea, I knew it would have to come off so I took a hacksaw to cut the spokes if all else failed. Luckily when I pried the cap off, there was not a speck of rust to be seen.
I am thinking it went thru a restoration of some sorts within the past three or four years.

Where the "LIFT" button/switch hole is on the dash there is a red indicator light. Is that correct or was that spot for the electric lift switch?

I'm glad you got it Double07. That tractor was 10 miles from my house. I talked to him over the phone and did some texting. I couldn't believe the pictures of it on CL either. I knew the lights were worth $100, grill $50 and the lift pump around $300. I would of just dropped another K301 in it and had a very nice tractor. I also knew the wifey would be po'd at me for weeks if I brought another %#$& tractor home.

Will the Fastenal stores ship that kind of stuff?

I love your wife!! thanks wifey!

Yea Fastenal gave me a price of $115 Woodstock store to Pensacola store.
Had to be strapped onto a pallet bigger than the 127. I told them it was 700lbs worth.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
