No I didn't get the 12 running any better I couldn't get the carb off because of the governor link and muffler I was going to clean it better ended up breaking the screws for the choke butterfly so I have to choke it the old fashioned way(just kidding the Choke is old fashioned) as soon as i get the 123 running imma rebuild the 122 and hopefully paint it

Anybody know if the tapered shaft will work ?

Or if it would be easier get the 14hp and put it into my grandmas 129 that has a warped head we think

the tapered shaft will not work with the pto, those are made for generators and some pumps. you need the straight shaft your old motor has.

Lost the auction for the kohler generator went for $170 which Is cheap but i missed my last vid that wpuld have been cool to have a cub cadet 123 LP even if that engine had a tapered shaft also which I assume it did, anybody ever made or seen a cub cadet actually run on propane seems like an easy conversion

there is a guy on youtube that runs his 982 cub on propane but you got to buy the whole setup and I don't think its very cheap. id just stay with gas, ive never really had any issues but I use stabilizer in mine, plus im getting better at clean carbs and tanks out

I just thought it as a noveltythe generator motor came with the carb and regulator for LP so all it needed was a tank

How hard would it be to use a steering wheel from a 715 IH combine I already took some of the switches including the ignition which ive decided not to use because i dont know how to rig it up for push button start because the key is only 2 positon, naturally the steering wheel is mint being the combines all came with cabs on just have to figure out how to get it off the combine might need the torch to cut the control pillar thing off

Yes, it will fit a nf and a wf. The last A means it is adjustable.

Even with the same mule drive ?
That's great news. He said it came off a 128 so my 12hp should be able to handle the big 42" right?

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
