Nice pics and vid Allen. Glad to see she made it home. Sounds like she runs great, too. So, what engine did it end up having? KT17 series I or II, M18?

Is it too soon to have sellers remorse? Oh well I'll get over it. Knowing it's got a great home helps.

Congrats buddy it was great to see you and Jenn again! I enjoyed my seat time with ya today. The super was fun to drive.

I'm looking forward to restoring the #2 for ya too!

What makes one a series 1 or 2? While that beautiful piece of work was at my place I found series 2 markings all over the engine tins but im sure that doesn't matter if they were changed. It sounds good though doesn't!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
