Sam, I would think they would know, but maybe they won't tell, hard to say, but I should hope just posting a question wouldn't be grounds for banning a person, that would be pretty low.

Jeeze, I would hope that asking a question wouldn't get someone banned, I was a little worried when Sam said that.

Mr Sminkey, like a lot of other former members, no longer comes to this site. These people have a variety of reasons for their decisions. Sometimes, we the Admin Team, know the reasons and sometimes we don't. Some of these people have clashed with this Forums, Admin Team, Members, and/or Forum policies and rules. We simply choose not to air the disagreement, respecting their privacy.

I am certain, that this member can be located and communicated with. For those that are that interested, may do so.

So, there is no need to beat this thread to death, and therefore I am closing it.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
