Next, the new PTO bearing.
![]() ...and PTO. I made sure that the set screw holes would line up with the holes. ![]() I bought a new muffler. ![]() I guess this was original. ![]() I tried to label stuff as I went along. I think this is one of the more important ones. ![]() Before I put the grill and hood back on I started it. It runs, but more on that later. Replaced the wiring for the lights. ![]()

OK, It started. The ACR works now after valve adjustment. It idles, but hesitates when open the throttle. I set the carb as described in the manual. I did the proper reset on the governor arm. It will just quit if I open the throttle some times. Others, it speeds right up, but doesn't maintain even speed. I'm thinking that I have done something wrong with the throttle cable and governor springs. Any suggestions or a picture of a K321 throttle cable and governor arm would be appreciated.

Got my problem figured out. I had installed the needle upside down when I rebuilt the carb. It just wasn't getting fuel when it needed it. It had also dislodged something in the fuel tank and clogged my inline fuel filter. Its back together and running great. And yes, it is a bit less loud with the new muffler.
Nice to have it back in one piece again. ![]() ![]() Thanks to you all and this site for the help inspiration and resources. This little project has made me appreciate even more that work that some of you put into your restorations. Maybe one day I'll restore one of these.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester.
