Best to just leave it stock, I know it looks a little odd at first, but your Performance will be much better, and you won't risk messing up your spindles.

Traction!!! Turf tires suck at traction in turns. Just my opinion.

I hate turf tires. Once you get a set of V61's and rear ags you will never want to change that setup ever again! (with the exception of snow traction then trufs work much better) Plus the Ags and ribs dont do any more damage to the ground than turfs in my opinion with the benefit of superior traction in either wet or dry conditions.

I just read your thread, my 149 is exactly the same way, being that the right front wheel has slightly more positive camber than the left. I put on a set of narrow front wheels and tri ribs, that makes the difference in camber from side to side even more noticeable. I first suspected that something was bent as well, but after close examination of both spindles, I am sure they were just made that way, I also compared them to several parts QL's that i have, and all of them had more right side camber. I centered my steering when I put mine back together, but remember reading that out of the factory the steering was not centered, the tractors were designed to turn tighter to the right to make trimming around obstacles in the yard easier, perhaps that is why the right side has more camber than the left....to make sharper right turns...that is my guess why they differ.

Here's my 782 with the bends... I guess i'll just leave it alone, it does turn mighty nice like this. New tires are in order, though. I'll just have to keep that length of pipe away from the spindles while the wheels are off..

Default tri rib

I put tri-ribs on my 149. I was sceptical at first but glad I did now. I can steer with one finger. You'll also notice from the picture below that the tire normally rides on just a small 1" band (easy on the turf) but will dig in if you get into softer stuff (mud, snow, ect).

Your chamber looks normal - I'd use your manual and make your adjustments - I set mine lock to lock and the turing radius is great and smooth. Front tires clear fine.

149 - 498944,

That's the first close up outdoor shot I've seen of your 149 since you got it done. Whoa that thing came out nice.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
