You are lucky, I have been waiting for a 3 pin plate for 6 weeks now, apparently on backorder.

That would drive me nuts! Have you called CHris Westfall at Cub Cadet Calssics yet? He's got new ones in stock for $105. Cub cadet wants $123 for theirs. I checked Chris's site before I found mine and seen that he had them in stock.

Here's the link seach within the page for IH-117591-C1

I've changed to title to fit the latest news on this clutch rebuild. The ISO mounts are shot! I have not checked the fronts yet but I have pics of the rear ISO mounts and the effect they are having on the clutch and 3 pin driver. Just like any wearable items ISO mounts do wear out and need to be replaced. I'll have a new set here tomorrow if all goes well.

Some back ground info.

I got the clutch reinstalled and the motor was shaking and rattling pretty bad and I noticed that the 3 pin driver didn't have the same amount of pin in the friction disc so I got checking and made sure that there was no problem with the drive shaft itself. Everything checked out ok. So I got looking at the 3 pin driver that I had and noticed that the pins had varing lengths thru the friction disc so I rolled under the tractor to have a look. I was shocked to see that the ISO mounts were wore out already. The PO had changed them last summer and I haven't put that many hours on the tractor so it really cuaght me off guard to see them so worn.

I did get some pics of the drive shaft as well. Time for the pics!

Those don't look like they were replaced last year, they look like they're 30 years old.

That's who I ordered from. Got everything else in 2 days. I emailed him last week and said they were still out, so maybe mine is on the way???

I was going to remind you to check the ISO mounts and then figured you already had. Sorry. Mine looked like yours.

Duke, that next to last picture looks like the disc's in my spine, ouch. I know how that poor clutch is feeling . You'll have that thing running like new again shortly. At least it is all a relatively easy fix. I definitely recommend the cradle mod.

I'm sure the PO didn't use ISO mounts from Cub Cadet!!!

And he sure didn't replace the top sides.

While you have the engine out, make sure to check the oil pan for wear, and make sure to do the 'Cradle Mod'
NOTE: Above photos and 'cradle mod' design, by fellow OCC member- Richard Christensen

A good 'level' oil pan, and tied together ISO rails, will really help the rebuilt clutch last
I do love the pictures and cradle mod by Richard Christensen! I love that new oil pan that he used.

They do look pretty old! I guess David was a little harder on the 1200 then I thought he was.

Ouch that sounds painful! Just got to do the work and it'll be fine in no time! I think the cradle mod has been fone already.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
