Dave ....The following were blasted and coated '
Hood , side panels, drive line tunnel cover, 4 wheels, 2 front castings, dash tower. All sides, top, bottom etc were done ... Cost me $ 245 . The only white piece I painted was the dash cover as its fiberglass so I sanded it down and painted it with a ford white (matched the powder coat) and several clear coats...Done with DupliColor spray cans from the local parts joint. Cool, thanks. I wasn't under the impression that you could get a good glossy finish from powder coating (?) Did you do some more work to it after powder coating? I was thinking powder coating for the frame, wheels, etc. but didn't even think it would be feasible for the sheet metal.

no problem on the sheet metal ... it did leave some small pits where there was rust when they blasted it .... so you need sameone with a good hand blasting it ... if you have moderate rust you might want to spray paint it if your looking for an automotive type base coat / clear coat finnish ... while this does shine and is easy to clean up .... it doesn't have that depth to it but does have hard long lasting industrial type finnish.
hope that helps ya B. |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
