I'm guessing that seat gets pretty cold in the winter.

Just picked up my first cub over the weekend, not sure if its a 68 or 69 125, runs perfect only needed a tune up, now I see why my grandpa always talked about the old cubs. He always told me if I could ever get one don't pass it up. Mowed a little bit of my back yard and it looks like a golf course now. Just waiting for new fuel bowl to get in that I ordered from site sponsor Patton Acres. Tons of great info on here just joined and found the solution to a problem I was having with it. Ran good then went out to start it and no spark except when I would let go of the key, ended up looking at the points and found condensation on there cleaned it off good and fired right up.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
