Nice 70! It will look tough with the duals.

I have a nice set of 24 X 12:00 X 12 inch tires/wheels that I might use on it too. I do like the look of the duals, though.
Thanks for your comments.

From my house the 70 looks great. I'd question whether I'd want to restore this one because they are only original once! Fenders and duel wheels were options for the 70/100 series built from 1963-1965. I think the 70 would still be original if you were to install those options. Its possible the 70 could need the common wear parts replaced like spiral pins, tie rod ends, maybe the steering up grade, ect. . This series was the first number series IH tractor since 1910 to use a number system, and now had bearings in the front wheels. I had a 100, and that engine is the repower in my 72. Nice 70!

Moved a few cubs around today.I put the 123 with the rest of the keepers. The 582 went inside the tent.
Drained out the gas in the tank and carb.
Installed a new blankie also.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
