Well I pulled the new to me 682 out of the garage today and got the neutral and hydro creep adjusted. Then I hooked up to the york rake and dragged the stones out of the yard from the snow blower.

I was able to test my just rebuilt mower deck. It mowed pretty nice. It sure is nice mowing with power steering.

OH hush!!! LMAOO!! Man that thing sure is great looking. I can't grumble too much, you sure did get the 782 steering real good. Everyone that has tried it has gotten bug eyed when they steered it, LOL.. couldn't get over how easy it is. I just got done putting a good coat of wax on her too.

You should have seen how horrible it steered with the old steering box/column in it. It is one of the easiest manual steerings I've used. The v61tires made it steer even easier.

I finally got the steering tunnel off the 107 frame today.
these Hydros are no joke- Everything is tied together so well!! Unfortunately I had to use Chisel blaster to remove most bolts on this one. PB did nothing for me this round. I even busted the darn rockshafts trying to get them off the clutch/brake shaft. I tried so hard to keep them intact. Now I have a new machining task for this conversion. ugh.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
