Well since I couldn't go plow today, I have been needing to redo my fuel tank for the 128. I have grown sorely tired of sanding, LOL.

I went to Ace Hardware and picked up a quart of Zip-Strip paint stripper. WOW!! Why hadn't I been exposed to this stuff before, LOL.

It took the tank down to bare metal FAST. I then put a very nice coat of primer on it. Will lay some paint on it later on.

I also decided to take the tunnel cover down to bare metal too and covered in primer. The hood and front cast grille will be next, then will do the tower.

Will the fiberglass dash hold up to the stripper? Thought I should ask before I found out the hard way.

I finally got the motor stripped and out of the 124 today! What a horrible dirty dirty job that was!! Worst part was getting that 40 year old manual pto off the darned thing. Lets just say that the only undestroyed part is the crankshaft! Im pretty sure I made use of all known 4 letter words at least 20 x each, have new wounds, and now I am pretty happy. So glad that the weather is warming up around here!

Default Warmer weather & got the itch,

Back down to the high 40's yesterday, but last weekend we had mid-60's+.
Just a pleasure to start tinkering outside. Cleaned up the muffler real good & gonna paint with some high-heat BLACK.
Oooops, no paint?

New primer & paint for the light panel, rewired, new bolts, new decal.

Gotta have lights for my # 109. Don't need them but I think they are cool.

Great pics and storys on what you all have been up to. The past couple of days I've been busy getting ready for plow day. Evan and I was getting some seat time Friday and the 100 died and after 3 condensers and coils 2 new autolite 216 plugs 2 spark plug wires I think that the switch is bad. No spark so going to check that out today. I found out that the ag's on the 100 are mounted on the rims the wrong direction causing me not to be able to use them on the the 125 or 1200. So got to fix that as well. Friday Evan pulled the 100 to the house with the 125. I was being cute and lowered the bucket down and lifted the front tires off the ground. Well when it quit running I hooked a chain to the bucket and Evan pulled it closer to the house for me. 125 can pull! No wheel weight turf tires no tire spin just pulling the 100 with the bucket on the ground.

Got the spring assist on the 1200 loaded it on the trailer for the plow day. The rods started knocking so slept on it and at 5:30am I unloaded the 1200 and loaded the 125 on to take to the plow day. Front turf tires and all. That was a good choice! I will go into detail on the redneck plow day thread.

Had a blast plowing and got lots of seat time in! Thank you Vince the redneck plow day was great!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
