I was thinking a little while ago, when I plow the main driveway, it is 900' +/- long. It typically takes 3-4 passes each way to get it semi-clean with 6" of snow and then if I want it clean, I have to make that many passes again. That means that I am travelling 7200'-14,400' which equals 1.36 to 2.72 miles at a reported top speed of 6.9 miles per hour with the blade dragging and the tire chains thumping along! And that does not include cleaning out up around the island-turn-around thing (the drive is 5 cars wide up at the garage for about 125' deep! No wonder it took me about 2-1/2 hours to get it clean!

Did I mention that I love my O?

If you build a snow fence right next to the driveway, you will get more drifting, and more seat time!!!

Good looking "After" ! I have not had a chance to try my QL1000 in the snow, I am jealous!!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
