Heres some vids of my baby battling the blizzard of 2011. The nighttime vids were taken during the height of the blizzard(2 inches an hour and 40 mph winds gusting to 60mph).

The Chicago blizzard of last week left me with 19" of snow every where on my driveway with 4' drifts. My tractor is a '79 Model 1250 with a QA42A snow thrower, wheel weights & chains. With over 1400 hrs on my tractor, I was very proud that it hung in there & got the job done. My method of snow removal was to take a plunge cut with the blower in the transport position (high cut) & then a plunge cut with the blower dropped in the float position (low cut). Rather than cut a single path, I would do the high cut, low cut for the width of 2 or 3 blower widths. I wanted to make sure I won't get trapped in a single width path, since my driveway is on an incline. As it was, it took me 5-6 hrs to get the job done (with occasional breaks). This is what I was facing at the start.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
