I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. Only one more batch of parts to paint.

Got a little assembly done yesterday. Pedals, rockshaft, foot rests, and seat are on. Need to pull the hood and grill off to put on the PTO.

Yellow paint is done! All that’s left to paint is the muffler, the 3-point upper lift pin (missed it when I painted the white) and any other small pieces I’m sure I’ll find during assembly.

Got one fender and S/G on too.

Got most of the wiring done today. The original harness was a mess so I’m making a new one. Started assembling parts onto the engine too.

Since I only have a few small pieces to paint to finish up my 100, yesterday, I threw together a small paint booth. I have a large makeshift paint booth in my shop but it’s a pain to set up just to spray a few small pieces. The mini booth is made from materials I had laying around. The front opening is 32”x 34” and it tapers down to an opening to fit a 20” box fan with a furnace filter to catch the overspray. I can just roll it up to the open garage door and exhaust the fan outside. Why didn’t I think of this years ago?

Please tell me your not running anything through that with thinner, reducer, or any kinds of spirits.

Finished the wiring today. The taillight is a marker light that was on one of the fenders. I made a bracket for it out of stainless. They were added to the fenders before my dad bought it 40 yrs ago. I need to find some reflectors for the fenders.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
