Is the pic of the 1066 Hydro your tractor? Or just a general pic?

I've actually never seen a 1066 with FWA in person. Dad had a 1066 when I was younger and I spent many hours working ground with it. It was my favorite tractor to run. He got rid of it when he upgraded to the 1586 he has now.

Your tractor is awesome, very impressed!! You didn't say, but I'm assuming your 1066 was a gear drive since you said "working ground with it" ...... They really didn't make very many 1066 Hydro's. They came out with them, but stopped production on them and re-badged them as the Hydro 100. It was confusing customers having a 1066 Hydro, and gear drive, because the drawbar horsepower wasn't the same.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
