Hey Chris, You really have done well. Wasn't sure about the red, seeing is believing
I always liked stacks and am partial to the older Harley Davidson mc, you could use a muffler from a 70s Superglide or Sportster w/dual exhaust. That is if you don't need a rain cap.TSC has a small selection of farm tractor mufflers they have one for I think an AC +/-$30 that is sized just right. I think a down swept pipe would also look great. As with any custom you will need to fab a manifold. What ever you do I'm sure it will look good. Clay

Duke,Clay,Allen,
Still Considering the stack thing. Down swept sounds different and might look good too? I have been lazy tonight. Not much done on the cub yet. Off to mount the air cleaner. Regards, Chris

IH in IN,
Thanks for the review! These guys on here have really supported my efforts on this project. Great ideas and suggestions! Brief update: -Installed the rebuilt electric lift and tested. It worked smooth Glad I put the time into that unit. -Installed the air cleaner plate and gasket to the carb, the filter and the cover. Found the air cleaner cover on the floor under the wagon where the cat knocked it off. -Found some small rubber coated clips at hardware to hold the coil wire across the back of the engine shroud. -Mounted the gas tank support bracket. -Installed the gas tank, -repainted a couple items to be installed tonight. -Added some custom rubber bumpers (split grommets) to keep the hood from hitting the grill when opened. -Tried the starter, and the engine actually turned over, that’s a plus. Need gas line, hose clamps and spark plug. May try to pick up some materials for exhaust today. Regards, Chris

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
