It is a late Easter this year and all the old boys say that that translates into a late spring. I hope sooner rather than later as I'm ready to work the dirt. Last year I was planting corn from April 19-22 but we got a killing frost on May 22. Corn was up about 5 inches but every thing came back, thank God the beans were still in the ground.

Default When does the weather brake where you live

It looks like the weather is never going to break here in central Minnesota. It sounds like we have another 12" of the white stuff coming in this week and my blower is down for repair - parts should be here in a couple of days. I have my fingers crossed that I will get them in time. Seriouly - we can expect snow from mid November to the end of March.

We get some days in the low 70s in late feb or early March, but that means tornadoes! Fescue is starting to green up, a few red buds blooming and bradford pears are getting ready. Willows have a green hue and heard some tree frogs for the first time a week ago. Early March is high 50s/mid 60s range with some 30s thrown in to keep ya honest. I thought I was going to run out of wood but got a two week reprieve, still have a couple of ricks for this year and I don't burn a fire if it gets over mid 50s, house just gets too hot. Sure do get spoiled when you have a few days in the high 60s with sun. It can't come soon enough for me! I thought I saw the ground hog thing and said if he makes a shadow, six more weeks of winter, if no shadow, an early spring in six weeks?

bradford pears have already busted here, you can see some buds on some of the other trees aswell, and my centipede front lawn (that was fresh laid sod in october last year) is about 60% - 70% green already. We still have some cool nights but Ive broken out the shorts here in Rockingham NC. Time for me to get my back yard leveled out seeded pretty soon.

It just broke yesterday, here in sw conn!
Well, first it rained buckets saturday, and sunday.....yesterday schools were closed because of all the rivers flooding. But today, everything is calm.
and a pleasant 40 something degrees during the day....right above freezing at night.
All I know is the reservoir is only half covered with ice, the creek in the backyard is full, and opening day of trout season is in 6 weeks!!!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
