I could have sworn I saw a law recently that stated " No more than
two 169's per cub addict allowed "..... Nice tractor .

The 169 in TN has a manual lift. I thought 149 and 169 both came std with hyd. lift. Maybe he sold off the hydro unit?

Due to a shortage of control valves or something, some of the 169's came from the factory with manual lift.

The 169's did all come with ported hydros. They could be converted to hydraulic lift and alot were. IH had a field installation kit that was supposed to be added when they were converted. Don't remember what all was in the kit, some springs, etc. My 169 has hydraulic lift. I had a second 169 that I sold that was also hydro lift. Would be neat to have a manual lift one to go with my hydro lift 169. I sure wish Tennessee was closer .

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
