All the ducting is missing off of the motor. That would make it run hot and have a short life.
One thing to remember on the Quitline series tractor is, you will probably have to replace the iso mount$ and do the cradle mod. If this is your first tractor I would go for the series before these. I think they would be cheaper and easier to work on.

Don't do it
 Just my opinion, for the same price I just picked up an Original(pics below) with fenders and creeper. It runs great and it's very solid, I think you should hold off, cause I guarantee a much better deal will come your way. Is there a specific model or series that you'd like to find??

For that same price I picked up a 1200 with a fresh amateur paint job, that I was able to run for two years before I had to do any work to it. It also had a new engine in it.
The stack scares me, especially combined with ag tires, has the look of an abused low dollar pulling tractor. You might want to slip in th etopic of garden tractor pulling and ask if he knows anything about it...he might spill the beans. I gotta get up to Matt's area....sounds like cubs are cheap there..it would still be worth 350 here..

Quietlines and narrow frames, mostly projects but I mow with a 1200 and have a 122 set up for pulls. Wandering the country bringing towers to wind farms everywhere, and bringing yellow stuff home to Texas. Also into flatfender jeeps.
