It does seem like it whine when you press on the foot brake. that makes since thats its harder to start because the oil is thicker. Is there any way to adjust the hydro lever so when you push on the foot pedal so it will go into neutral

I got too busy and didn't get the summer (30w) oil changed in my 1650 and the second time I went to blow snow, it was 3 degrees above zero!! My cub lives in the barn and wasn't interested in turning over...30 minutes later, after firing up the torpedo heater, no problem. Well after finishing the snowblowing, I drained the 30w oil and replaced it with 10w oil, like I SHOULD HAVE sooner. The next time I went to start the 1650, it was -5 degrees. Half throttle and full choke and it didn't turn over more than 3 or 4 times and it was running. The timing, carb, spark plug, and battery are all up to snuff and finally, so is the oil.
Did I get all the egg off of my face??? :biggrin2.gif: FFGino. Happy Cubbing!! ![]() |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
