Wishing you a quick recovery. All must be very careful working around these tractors. RUNNING OR NOT! Once I was working on my mower deck had it prop up againist my trailer, hit the trailer deck fell and I jump back but it got my toes. If it wasn't for the center roller keeping the deck about 2 inches off the gound i've would of lost all my toes and not just a toenail. Steel is not forgiving moving or not . SAFETY FIRST EVERYONE

Hope for a speedy recovery, last winter I was pulling cut limbs out of a big ditch to cut up for firewood with my skid steer and grapple rake. After some cutting I was pushing the scraps back in, one 3" limb came through the back of the rake and into the cab. By the time I could get reversed, which didn't take long, it had shoved my leg back and pinned my shin to the machine. It took over 6 months for all the swelling to go away from my ankle, which never even got touched. It only takes a second to die around equipment!!!! Wonder if that is one of the reasons we love nasty, greasy machines.

Ditto that on the deck falling "fer100" (I'll never work under anything without jack stands again). I've been laid up since July 4th from having my elbow broken by the front mounted deck on my mowing tractor. I went for four months with the bone not knitting, so they had to put in a plate and six screws. Yippee, I may get to ditch the sling after my Dr visit this Friday. Your life can be completely changed in the blink of an eye.

JayBrd- Hope you'r ok. Safty is the best topic...I have to be careful of cars when at the end of the drive. I know my tractor will run me over flat if I'am not careful.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
