their eyes would be covered. Then the onions I planted next to them would not provide the tears needed in order to make the spuds self watering. Ken |

![]() ![]() Good point! The wife kinda wondered what in the world happened to her onions last season! Guess I'll forgo the newspaper this year. Although it did help a bit, the big baker spuds came with instructions already printed on the peelings!! |

Kinda wet and cooler this year. Hard to get anything done because when I have time it is too wet to do anything. The weeds are really growing great again this year!
![]() Potatoes IMG_0193.jpg I need try and get them hilled asap. I noticed a few Colorado potato beetles have destroyed a few of my plants. I don't recall ever seeing them in the years past. What do you guys & gals use to kill them? Tomatoes IMG_0194.jpg I just got these in the ground. I start all my plants by seed and these should have been planted a few weeks ago. They were probably 16" tall. I'm doing all heirloom this year. I have Cherokee Purple, Hungarian Heart & Amish Paste. I have 111 tomato plants in the ground. I have about 50 cages so I may try the Florida Weave on the remaining for support. I don't think I ever planted these type before have any of you? Corn IMG_0199.jpg About 10% didn't come up or the crows got it and now I see the deer have nibbled a few down pretty good. I still need to try and get some squash and beans in but I hope it's not too late.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
