Keeping the bowl intact would one be able to add a in-line-filter between the bowl & motor? Seems to me it would do a better job??????
Or maybe add to much pressure by over doing it?

What's the difference between a # 122 & a # 123?
Just a years model or ?.

Thank's,

Great video, I should have been taking videos since I started to tear apart my # 109, but did'nt think about it? I took a ton of pic's to make it plain to me what goes where when I put it back together this Fall.
to your second question the 122 was manufactured from 1965-1967 and the 123 was introduced in 1966-1967 and it was a hydro version of the 12 HP http://www.ihcubcadet.com/BobsPage/

sorry R Bedell did not see your answer to qyestion #2

Default Video Number 3!

I have posted the third video in my rebuild project. This time I removed the head, the hood, and the battery. Then I rebuilt the carburetor. Here is the video:

Please correct in the comments or whatever anything I get wrong, I'm a complete newbie when it comes to doing this stuff.

Default Part 4 is up!

I have finally made part 4 of the video. I got a little behind on the videos because I was working on the tractor in my free time rather than making videos, but this video just about catches me up. Since this video, I ave removed the valves and cleaned them. Note that at the end of the video when I am showing the clank, once I removed the piston, I still hear it. So I believe it is the cams (is that what they are called??) that make the valves go up and down.

Check it out, tell me what you think and PLEASE correct anything I have wrong in either this thread or int he comments of the video.

Default Part 5 is finally up!

I know it has been a while since I posted a video, but here is part 5. It's really just me showing how ignorant I am about taking the valves out and cleaning them. I definitely made it a harder job than it really is. I also take the rear tires off and take the rear fenders off...and fine a little bit of a surprise.

Anyways I ask a question in the video that I will also post in another thread here about the piston.

Hope you guys enjoy and as always please correct here or in the comments on youtube anything I get wrong.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
