So the obvious difference is the two tubes coming into the front of the unit. Is that a good quick check?

My 1864 and 2084 appear to have the same unit, though neither has a 2nd hydraulic control on the dash.

Rex B. Yes the tubes are how you tell if it is ported. They are the same no matter how many hydro circuits are on the tractor. You can add another valve to the older style cubs, 782 etc and the Cyclops cubs. I have second valve for the front outlets on my heavily modded 1541. Most Cubs had ported hydro pumps in the 80s and 90s.

2 way out to a control valve/bank of valves and/or PSV in the case of the supers (which then feeds aforementioned valve(s)).

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester.
