If I got all that would I be asking what that bracket was? Everyone on this forum seems to have some smart attitude.

Every now and again it gets a little snarky in here, but a better bunch of IH Cub guys you will not find. First you'll need to remove that tiller bracket and you can probably get a few bucks out of it on ebay. Keep in mind where it is bolted through that bracket, that the bolts are longer. You may want to get more hardware the same size as the 3 above that bracket.

The fitting you are after is called the draw bar, and it is a simple 90 degree bracket with a hole for bolting up a trailer ball or for pinning implements to the back like wagons. I'd suggest while you are doing this work that you go ahead and do a fluid change, clean the gunk out of the bottom of the case, install a new filter (not automotive) and button it all back up with a new gasket.

Thank you for that advice. I see a drawbar on Ebay said it came from a 100. Seller claims it will fit my 147. Can you verify that?

Yes that one.

One other thing. Willna sleeve hitch fit without removing the tiller bracket? Also saw a pic of a Cub and his drawbar was bolted to the rear of that tiller plate.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
